I am Lorraine Butler a Spiritualist Medium. I came into Spiritualism in 1999.

The death of my second son bought me in to Spiritualism; basically I went in to a spiritualist church for a message like everyone else. I feel that I was drawn to the Spiritualist church, because it was a “meant to be” happening.

Although after going along to the church and receiving messages from the other side, I was grateful but still grief stricken due to the loss of my sons, this bought on depression and a suicidal feeling. I then began to receive messages myself; these were messages coming from the other side to myself.

I realised i had been born with this gift of spiritual communication but could not understand how it worked. I spoke to other gifted mediums about my gift and they explained that a mediums development is very personal but suggested that i should join a circle or to some people it is known as a séance.

I was encouraged to join a closed circle and sat to develop my ability over the following 2 years before going along to join the Oldbury Centre.

Oldbury Centre is a development centre for trainee mediums, you have to have a gift in order to join and for them to teach you to develop your ability. So I have worked a 3 year course with them, and that brings us up to now.

I serve over 50 churches in and around the UK and also work abroad wherever spirit takes me. My work also includes working at large venues, where I can reach people who normally wouldn’t have known about Spiritualism, and for the convenience and privacy of my sitters I can do private sittings at my office or visits to party bookings. I can tell you that I have also done a fair amount of what we call “Ghostbustin.”

So overall I have done a large amount of work for the Spirit in a short amount of time.

My aim is always to work for the Spirit and to always work for the God force.
